On Tuesday January 22 I went to the traveling Hateful Things Museum and watched a video of the Hateful Things Museum. I think that the museum is a good way for people to understand how color was used for consumer products, and how they where discriminated.

I found some of the items that where displayed not that racist at all. for example the alligator pen to me it is just a pen. Also the target with the clown face, to me it was a clown but i can see where people could see that it was a African American. I think that the video that was shown gives a good point of view from someone that feels hate toward the racist objects that where created over the years. it showed us how racist objects have worked it’s way into the everyday of the American culture. It shows how desensitized the public has got over the yeas and how it has become part of are society.

  1. As I have written in my blog, at times I did not see where something was racist. Later, I began to better appreciate the context.
